I have always had a great passion for exercise and fitness, I am continually learning about the mechanics of anatomy and physiology and am fascinated how the skeletal and muscular systems work within our bodies.

After leaving college, I began a career working in London for various Lloyd’s insurance brokers, however, I quickly came to realise that whenever I had any available time, I would spent it at the gym, exercising, designing training programs and helping others to shape their training programs too.

In 2005, I decided to make a career change and follow my passion, so I left my job in London and studied for a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training, Fitness Instruction and Sports Massage. I completed my diploma and was awarded a Distinction. It was the best decision I’d ever made.

I opened my freelance Personal Training business within a major gym in Chelmsford which quickly evolved, training individual clients and also instructing group exercise classes. I then moved on to train with Les Mills, one of the biggest global fitness training companies, to obtain certifications to teach Body Pump and Body Balance classes. Body Balance focuses on both Yoga and Pilates movements working on mobility, flexibility and strengthening core muscles. This was my introduction to Pilates, I then went on to study a Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates.

I live with my partner of 17 years and two children and currently work as a freelance group exercise instructor across five large gyms/leisure centres located in Chelmsford, Witham and Colchester, teaching a variety of classes including Body Pump, Body Balance, Spin and Pilates.  I also look after private clients for both personal training and Pilates group sessions.

I absolutely love my career and the variety of what each day brings, helping people achieve their goals and improve their fitness to assist in a healthy lifestyle.
